Thin evidence

Expandi is a cloud-based LinkedIn automation tool that runs connection requests, messages and email follow-ups in multi-step sequences, with a dedicated country-based IP and warm-up for each account.

Verdict: Independent discussion is thin: only 5 of 20 comments carry a real first-hand opinion, and 9 were promotional (rival tools such as Dux-Soup, aioutreach.io, ConnectSafely AI, warmysender, Bearconnect, LeadGravity and ScraperCity, plus a bare link and an emailverifier plug). Users who rate it say it closely replicates a PhantomBuster-style flow (CSV import, profile visits, likes, connection requests, follow-ups) and that its campaign logic holds up when scaling. The trade-off is price and complexity: at $99 a seat, one team found the extra depth unused by most of its seats, and an agency called the 'safe limits' claim marketing, saying no cloud tool reliably avoids LinkedIn detection.

What users like

  • Closest cloud match for a PhantomBuster flow: CSV import, profile visits, likes, connection requests and follow-up sequences on the base plan[1][2]
  • Campaign logic holds up for teams that expect to scale, so they avoid migrating tools later[1][2]
  • Users report it has more workflow depth than lighter alternatives[1]

What users complain about

  • At $99 per seat the cost climbs as you add seats, and one team found most seats did not use the advanced features[1]
  • An agency says the 'safe limits' claim is marketing: clients' accounts were not meaningfully safer than with PhantomBuster[1]

Best for

  • Teams replacing a PhantomBuster-style visit, like, connect and follow-up flow
  • Teams that plan to scale LinkedIn outreach and want deeper campaign logic

Skip it if

  • Mixed teams where most seats only need basic sequences
  • Anyone expecting the tool itself to prevent LinkedIn restrictions

In their own words

I've migrated LinkedIn flows off Phantom before and tbh Expandi is the closest cloud-native match , CSV import, profile visits, like-before-invite and sequence steps are supported and you can pipe AI messages via Zapier/webhooks on the base plan, ngl. HeyReach looks promising too but double-check their specific "like post" action and AI/webhook support before buying. Octopus is extension-first so skip it if you need …

LinkedIn automation at any scale is risky as hell regardless of which tool you use. They're all violating LinkedIn's TOS. The question isn't which is "safest," it's which gets you banned slower. Our clients who've used Expandi found it works for your flow but the "safe limits" claim is marketing BS. LinkedIn's detection has gotten way better and cloud-based tools get flagged just like browser extensions. The automat…

I actually went with Expandi right out of the gate. I get the pricing concern, but since it is priced per seat anyway, it made sense for our setup. The safety features and campaign logic really are solid, and we knew we were going to scale quickly. The main thing was we didn't want to deal with the headache of migrating to a new tool later on once the workload started piling up. Been really happy with it so far. Do …

Not having an account that looks like a bot is a starter and having organic activity before beginning a blast. I personally use a similar stack to your own, Sales Nav for the deeper sales analytics and Expandi for automating outreach at volume.

yeah.. I think a lot of it comes down to whether you're actually using those advanced workflow capabilities. Expandi definitely has more depth, but for our use case we found ourselves paying for features that a good portion of the team wasn't really leveraging. Once you start adding seats, that cost difference becomes pretty noticeable. Support is important, but for us the bigger question was whether the additional…
