Updated #3 in Interactive Demossupademo.com
47/100

Supademo is a tool for recording a product's screens and turning them into interactive click-through demos, sandbox demos and videos that can be embedded on a site, shared by link or used for onboarding and training.

Verdict

Treat the volume of praise with caution: about half of the comments that mention Supademo read as promotional, including clusters of near-identical success stories (support tickets down, onboarding completion up, sandbox and HTML demos) dropped into unrelated threads, duplicated text from different accounts, and words broken up with hidden characters, and two independent users accuse the company of spamming Reddit. The roughly two dozen non-promotional opinions say it is quick to build and easy to keep current for short, single-workflow click-throughs used on websites, in sales follow-ups and in onboarding. The main complaints are cost for small founders (keeping a demo live, and the jump to HTML or sandbox capture) and a few first-time users who found it confusing or rigid.

What users like

  • Quick to build, and low effort to keep current when the product changes, unlike recorded videos that go stale[1][2][3]
  • Easy to use for quick, lightweight demos[1][2][3]
  • Works well as a sales follow-up: prospects click through at their own pace and can share it with their team, though users still run discovery live[1][2]
  • Demos can be edited and reused, for example exported as GIFs into a feature slide deck for customers[1]

What users complain about

  • Expensive for small founders: one called paying about $200 to keep a demo live a rip-off, others resent a monthly fee when they only need one demo[1][2][3]
  • HTML and sandbox capture costs far more than screenshot demos, which one user said leaves small businesses out[1]
  • Independent users accuse the company of spamming Reddit threads with bot or founder posts[1][2]
  • Some first-time users bounced off: one found it confusing, one got unexpected sound effects while the extension recorded, one found it too rigid for their workflow[1][2][3]

Best for

  • Small SaaS teams that want short click-through demos on their site or in sales follow-ups
  • Customer onboarding walkthroughs for common setup steps

Skip it if

  • Bootstrapped founders who want a one-off demo without a monthly fee
  • Teams that need a realistic sandbox of their product on a small budget
  • Replacing live discovery calls

In their own words

We stopped going back and forth on it once we split them by where someone is in the process. Video for people who just found us and need the basics fast. Interactive demo for people already shopping around and checking if our workflow fits what they need. That second one basically does the qualifying for you, if someone clicks through the whole thing and still books a call, they've already made up their mind. We’ve b…

We use Supademo. We tried screenshots, Loom-style videos, and live walkthroughs before, but each had a different problem. Screenshots missed too much context, videos got old whenever the product changed, and live demos were not always worth it for basic flows. The interactive demos worked better when we kept them short and focused on one workflow at a time.

Took me a while to find it but the middle ground for me was just ditching video altogether. Record the flow in Supademo once, it becomes a clickable walkthrough with the steps built in. Looks intentional without any editing and users can go through it at their own pace, works better than watching a recording anyway.

Tested a few. Consensus is helpful when you need something closer to product experience platform with interactive product tours and automation, though the trial felt a bit more geared to bigger teams. Navattic is lightweight and gave a quick way to spin up tour for marketing and share links. Supademo is easy to use

We’ve been experimenting with interactive demos across landing pages and email nurtures, and they really do convert when they’re done right. We tested a few tools side-by-side, Supademo was the easiest for quick, lightweight flows, Tourial felt more like a polished marketing asset, and Consensus gave us the deepest engagement data (helpful when you actually care about who’s clicking what, not just views). The real wi…
